Qualification Tournament for SportAccord World Mind Games 2011
10th - 12th of August 2012, Lille, France
Prerequisities
– SportAccord World Mind Games 2012 (Games later) will be held in Beijing, China, during a
period 12th - 19th of December 2012 (closing date is 19th of December, so a departure date
should be probably 20th of December). Players, who will take part in the Qualification
Tournament, must agree that they will represent their countries in the Games in a Men
Single Tournament in case they qualify for the Games, and that, together with women
qualified for a Women Single Competition, they will represent European Union in Mixed
Double Competition as well. 
– After qualifying for the Games, players will immediately, on site, sign
PLAYER's_commitment for the Games and fulfill all necessary application forms. 
– There will be three men qualified for the Games, who will play Men Single Tournament for
their home countries, and together with three women qualified for Women Single
Tournament, they will play Mixed Double Tournament for EU as well. There is no team
competition at SportAccord World Mind Games this year.
– This Qualification Tournament is designed just for male players on purpose to select three
male players for SportAccord World Mind Games 2012. Three female players for the
SportAccord Games will be chosen according to their results at EWGC, which will be held
in Brno, Czechia, in September.
Therefore,
a) 16 best players, citiziens of any EGF-member country, according to their best rating
within a period of 1st of June 2011 - 31th of May 2012 are invited for the Qualification
Tournament. There is just one restriction applicable – there cannot be more than two
players from one country. List of players ordered by their best rating within a given period
is enclosed.
b)If any of the top 16 players refuses to play the Qualification Tournament, the best player
on the rating list according to his strength, not qualified so far, will be invited on condition
that a number of players of his country will not exceed two players. 
Tournament system and conditions
Tournament system:
5 rounds, Swiss system, 75 minutes basic time, byoyomi – 3 x 30 sec. or 15 stones / 5 minutes
according to the type of clocks. First two rounds will be seeded according to the actual rating.

Accommodation:
Organiser does not provide accommodation for participants. Nevertheless, there are recommended a
few hotels, dormitories by a local organising staff.

Lille is a University Town as well and there should be possible to find cheap accommodation in a
Student's Dormitory. We are looking for more information at the moment.
Contribution:
Every player will be given a support of 200 EUR to help to cover his travelling expenses and
expenses for his stay in Lille during the tournament.
Entry fee:
No entry fee
Prizes:
There will be no prize money awarded immediately after the tournament is finished. Nevertheless,
winners who will represent EU/EGF in the Games are guaranteed to receive 500 EUR everybody as
a minimum immediately after they return from the Games. The money will be sent by a bank
transfer to everybody's personal bank account unless there is another agreement between a player
and EGF.

Deadline for the registration:
Players questioned in a first wave are kindly requested to announce their interest to participate in
the Qualification Tournament, and also in SportAccord World Mind Games 2012, latest by 22th of
June 2012. If we do not hear from you by that date, we will take it as a negative answer. If there is
not a group of 16 players ready to play the Tournament after 22th of June 2012, next group of
players will be addressed with an offer to participate in the Tournament, and as a result in the
Games as well.

The SportAccord Qualification Tournament will be immediately followed by 2nd WMSG.

Сьогодні в Ліллі (Франція) стартував відбірковий турнір на "SportAccord World Mind Games 2012".
Із запланованих 24-х найсильніших гравців Європи на турнір приїхало лише дев'ять. Для того, щоб кількість учасників була парною в терміновому порядку до списку учасників включили гравця з Нідерландів (Zeno van Ditzhuijzen, EGF rating 2418).

На жаль, українців в цьому списку немає, так як Андрій Кравець та Дмитро Богацький, яких запросили на цей турнір, не встигли вчасно оформити візи.

The second edition of SportAccord World Mind Sport will take place from 12-19 December 2012 in Beijing,
China. In relation to this event, the SportAccord World Mind Games online tournament will be held from
16th September to 26th October, cooperation with the Pandanet.

The winner of the online tournament will be invited to the second edition of the World Mind Games in Beijing,
and will be awarded by a commemorative medal and diploma during the SAWMG official banquet.
Flight, accommodation and invitations to attend the whole event is supported by SportAccord.
Participation fee is free of charge.

Цього року СпортАккорд ігри будуть проходити в Пекіні з 12 по 19 грудня. Знову буде формуватись збірна від Європи.

Dear friends,

last December we had a very successful team in Beijing at the 2nd SportAccord World Mind Games. In the meantime the 3rd SportAccord Wold Mind Games are confirmed (12-19 December 2013). Like last year (I got no other message) Europe gets seats, 3 for men and 3 for woman. Already decided that one pair will qualify at the coming European Pair Go Championship in Amstelveen and 2 women will qualify at the European Women's Championship in Leksand (22th-24th July). Now - similar to last year in Lille - the EGF will organize a special qualification-tournament for men. 12 players will be invited using the EGD rating list..
The tournament will be played in Leksand, from 20-22nd July, a 5 round tournament with 75 minutes per player and byoyomi. We will support the players by € 250 (travelling, accomodation).
Jana Hricova will manage the invitation process like last year

July 20th - 22nd: EGF men qualification-tournament for Beijing, 5 rounds (2/2/1)
July 20th : Leksand Summercamp Ren-go tournament
July 21st : Leksand Summercamp Pair-Go or Lightning-tournament
July 22nd - 24th : European Womens Championship, 6 rounds (2/2/2)
July 22nd - 24th : Leksand Open, 5 rounds McMahon tournament, first prize minimum 500 Euro (1/2/2)
July 24th : Evening - Birthdayparty - Barbecue, ...

Of course some Professionals will be in Leksand as well !

Від України до відбіркового турніру можливо буде запрошений Андрій Кравець (якщо дійде черга). Він зараз 26-й в європейському рейтинг-листі. Артем, на жаль, не зможе зіграти в цьому турнірі. Якщо відкинути різних азіатів та жінок, та врахувати, що частина гравців високого рівня не зможуть приїхати на відбір з різних життєвих причин, як це було в попередні роки, то у Андрія є досить високі шанси отримати запрошення на відбірковий турнір.

Вчора пройшло два тури і в обох Богдан програв (Паволу Лісому та Крістіану Попу). Сьогодні в третьому турі Богдану доведеться грати з Ондреєм Сілтом.
Без поразок ідуть, поки що, Фан Хуай, Алєксандр Дінерштейн та Дмітрій Сурін. Сьогодні буде два тури, а завтра - останній п'ятий тур.

Жеребкування на третій тур змінювали декілька разів. Так що, в результаті, в третьому турі Богдан грав з Дусаном Мітічем. Але результат поки що ніде не опубліковано. А взагалі, на КГС проводяться трансляції партій з першої дошки з ніку SportAccEU.
Першу путівку без сумнівів забере Фан Хуай, а ось за другу путівку якраз і йде боротьба. Богдан втратив свої шанси ще вчора, але партії, зіграні в цьому турнірі, це чудове тренування перед командним чемпіонатом Європи.
